UNDERSTANDING & MANAGING
STRESS & ANXIETY

This program will explain the physical process of stress and how this process affects disorders such as heart disease, cancer, and some autoimmune disorders: rheumatoid arthritis and lupus, etc. The differences and similarities between stress and anxiety will be clarified. Individuals will learn diaphragmatic breathing and relaxation techniques to control the physical process of stress and anxiety. Participants will learn to use cognitive techniques to control and manage anger, worry and negative thinking. The sessions will be conducted as a group discussion, encouraging interaction between participants as a way of examining your own experiences using the techniques that are offered. Open to Females and Males
Participants will receive a receipt for insurance purposes.
